Our meals are gently cooked, locking in the vitamins and minerals. We use the gravy from the beef to cook our rice, and finally mix in the other ingredients. No surprise it is packed full of goodness. In addition to protein-rich beef, kidney, liver and tongue, we’ve added five staple vegetables that contain plenty of vitamins and omega-3. A well-balanced meal is an excellent support for a regular, healthy immune function, healthy coats and mental wellbeing. You’ll also find our meals are high in soluble fibre and help your dog feel fuller for longer.
Our first FarmtoPaws.com.au delivery to Cairns is scheduled for Saturday, 2nd of August. We typically deliver on the first Friday of each month, with additional delivery dates to follow. Delivered frozen to your door. Please be home for delivery.

Why should I feed gently cooked dog food?
Our gently cooked dog food is neither dry nor wet nor raw. It is cooked just enough to eliminate pathogens while preserving the integrity of whole foods. We believe there is a significant difference between merely surviving and truly thriving. With the rise of pet obesity, cancer, and diabetes, a growing body of scientific evidence highlights the health benefits of a gently cooked food diet and the risks associated with many commercial pet food manufacturing processes.
Whether your dog is a picky eater facing a specific health issue or is perfectly healthy and eager to eat almost anything, we have seen firsthand the positive impact of feeding fresh food to both our own dogs and our customers’ pets.
There isn’t anything fancy or magical about our approach: it’s real food made convenient. It’s still dog food; it’s just how it should be.
How is our dog food cooked?
Our meals are lovingly crafted in a human-grade commercial kitchen by Chef Ainslie. We gently cook each recipe at low temperatures to preserve all the goodness, then pack them up quickly and freeze them for safe storage. You’ll be happy to know that our food contains no preservatives, and unlike kibble, it won’t be sitting on a shelf for years! It’s a win for both you and us, but most importantly, it’s a big win for your furry friend!
What are the recipes and ingredients?
At Farm to Paws, we’re excited to offer a variety of tasty, human-grade recipes that are simple and perfect for dogs with different dietary needs. Each recipe is made with clean, wholesome proteins mixed with fresh, whole foods and balanced with vitamins and minerals to keep your furry friend healthy and happy.
We pride ourselves on using only the best ingredients—never anything feed-grade—and we avoid processing our ingredients to ensure they stay fresh and natural. All our ingredients come from trusted suppliers, including our regenerative farm, where we raise Black Angus cross cattle and local farms in the beautiful Tablelands, as well as other food providers that meet high human-grade standards.
Finally, no recipe goes into production without the approval of our veterinary nutritionist. Your pooch deserves the best, and that’s what we’re all about!
Do I need to freeze or refrigerate the food?
Of course! Since our food is made fresh and contains no preservatives, we want you to treat it like real food (because it truly is!). Just be sure to keep it at a safe temperature in your refrigerator or freezer. It’s super easy! Enjoy your delicious meals!
Do I need to cook the food?
No need to worry about preparation—our food is all set and ready for your furry friend! You can scoop out the portion you need and serve it straight from the fridge. If your pup enjoys warm meals, just add a little hot water to make it toasty. You can also heat it on the stove or in the microwave if you prefer. Just remember to check the temperature before serving to make sure it’s nice and safe for your dog.
Do I need to consult my vet to use Farm to Paws dog food?
Of course! They’ll feel good knowing that we partner with veterinary nutritionists. Although some vets might debate different food trends, almost everyone agrees that freshly made, nutritionally balanced meals are fantastic for dogs. Our recipes are crafted to fully replace a typical diet, and we’re excited to share that many pups with health issues are really thriving on our meals!
Why can’t I just cook dog food at home?
Did you know that some home-cooked diets for dogs may have one or more important nutrient deficiencies? This could put our furry friends at risk of health problems. We totally encourage all dog owners to explore the idea of whipping up some delicious home-cooked meals for their pets!

Farm to Paws delivers to Cairns on the first Saturday of each month. Alternatively, you can collect from either the Gordonvale Cottage Markets or the Mareeba Markets, where you will receive free liver treats for your furry friend.
